SC2028 Compliance Strategy Letter for FCC/ISED Certification

SC2028_Cover letter for compliance strategy_02112023 V2

This document outlines the compliance strategy employed by Sepura for the FCC/ISED certification of the SC2028 TETRA mobile radio following design modifications. These changes were necessitated by the unavailability of the original Bluetooth/Wi-Fi (LBEP5CLWTC-631 Type WT) and GNSS (Ublox M8) modules, leading to the adoption of new BT/Wi-Fi (LBEE59B1LV-278 Type 1LV) and GNSS (Ublox M10) modules.

The letter details the specific testing approaches undertaken for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, TETRA, and simultaneous transmission capabilities. For Bluetooth, leveraging manufacturer's testing data was prioritized, with radiated spurious emission and output power checks performed to ensure no performance degradation. Complete Wi-Fi testing was conducted due to software modifications affecting output power. TETRA testing focused on radiated spurious emission and output power checks to confirm consistent performance. Intermodulation testing was performed to ensure no degradation in performance for simultaneous transmission of TETRA and Wi-Fi or TETRA and Bluetooth. Additionally, unintentional radiator testing and RF exposure calculations were performed to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
