MPE Calculation Report for Empowerment Technologies

This document presents the Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) calculation report for the DEFENDER product manufactured by Empowerment Technologies Inc. The report ensures compliance with subpart 15.247(i) and §1.1307(b)(1) of the Commission's guidelines, which mandates that systems operate in a manner that does not expose the public to excessive radio frequency energy levels.

The report outlines the limits for Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) as defined in §1.1310 and §2.1091, specifically focusing on limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure. It includes a table detailing the electric field strength, magnetic field strength, power density, and averaging time for various frequency ranges. The calculations are based on the formula S = PG/4 π R2, where S is the power density, P is the power input to the antenna, G is the power gain of the antenna, and R is the distance to the center of radiation.

The report concludes that the maximum power density at the predication frequency of 20 cm is 0.02289 mW/cm², which is below the MPE limit of 1.00 mW/cm². Therefore, the product is compliant with the regulations.
