RF Exposure Evaluation Report for BLE Device

RF Exposure - BLE

This document presents an RF exposure evaluation for a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, conducted by Bay Area Compliance Laboratories Corp. The evaluation aims to demonstrate compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations regarding maximum permissible exposure (MPE) to radio frequency energy.

The report outlines the applicable standards, including subpart 15.247(i) and subpart 2.1091, which mandate that devices operate in a manner that prevents public exposure to excessive RF energy levels. It also references KDB 447498 D04 Interim General RF Exposure Guidance. The evaluation utilizes the MPE-based exemption approach, comparing the device's effective radiated power (ERP) against frequency and separation-distance dependent thresholds outlined in FCC regulations.

The results indicate that the device complies with the RF exposure guidelines, as the calculated ERP falls below the established limits. To ensure continued compliance, the report recommends maintaining a minimum separation distance of 20cm between the equipment and nearby individuals.
