RF Exposure Evaluation for BUSDPRO6: SAR Test Exclusion

RF Exposure

This document presents the RF exposure evaluation for the BUSDPRO6 device, focusing on SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) test exclusion. The evaluation adheres to the guidelines outlined in 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v06. The report details the methodology used to determine whether SAR testing is required, based on the device's operating frequency and output power.

The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for 100 MHz to 6 GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50 mm are determined by a formula that considers the maximum power of the channel, tune-up tolerance, and the RF channel transmit frequency. The calculations are rounded to the nearest mW and mm, with the final result rounded to one decimal place for comparison. In this case, the worst-case output power is 7.69dBm (5.87 mW) at 2402MHz. The calculation (5.87 mW/5mm) • [ √ 2.402GHz)]= 1.82, which is less than 3.0 for 1-g SAR. Therefore, SAR evaluation is not required for the BUSDPRO6 device.
