This letter outlines the compliance strategy employed by Sepura for the SC2124 FCC/ISED certification, specifically addressing the implementation of new Bluetooth/Wi-Fi (LBEE59B1LV-278) and GNSS (Ublox M10) modules. The SC2124, a TETRA mobile radio operating in the 403-470MHz range, previously certified under FCC ID XX6SC2124 and IC 8739A-SC2124, required modifications due to component availability issues.
The strategy details leveraging manufacturer's Bluetooth test results, with additional radiated spurious emission and output power checks. Complete Wi-Fi testing was performed due to software-based power reductions. TETRA circuitry remained unchanged, but radiated spurious emission and output power were re-evaluated. Simultaneous transmission testing for TETRA with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth was conducted, along with unintentional radiator testing and RF exposure calculations. This comprehensive approach ensures compliance and performance integrity with the new module configurations.
