FCC DTS Declaration for Mobile Phone - Configuration Control

DTS _Software Configuration Control declaration

This FCC DTS declaration outlines the software configuration control measures implemented for a mobile phone to ensure compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. The device is manufactured for the global market but is programmed with specific channel restrictions when marketed in the U.S. under FCC ID: 2ADYY-KM6. The nonvolatile memory (NVM) is programmed at the factory to actively scan and operate only on designated channels during normal WLAN operation.

The device operates as a client without radar detection capability and passively scans on dynamic frequency selection (DFS) channels, listening only for a master device. Client software and drivers prevent the device from acting as a master or group owner (GO) in DFS frequency bands. The device meets FCC Part 15.202 requirements and is programmed to actively scan on non-DFS channels for normal WLAN operation. When operating in Wi-Fi Direct mode on non-DFS channels, it may operate as a P2P client device or GO.

The programmed NVM is inaccessible and unchangeable by the end user. The transmitter is approved as a non-software defined radio, and OEMs and third-party system integrators lack the ability to alter configuration controls that would allow the device to operate outside the grant conditions per FCC KDB 594280.
