RF Exposure Evaluation for SA101-US Device

RF Exposure

This document presents the RF exposure evaluation for the SA101-US device, conducted to ensure compliance with regulatory limits. The evaluation is based on the guidelines outlined in 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v06, which specifies SAR test exclusion thresholds for devices operating between 100 MHz and 6 GHz with separation distances of 50 mm or less.

The evaluation calculates the ratio of the maximum power of the channel (including tune-up tolerance) to the minimum test separation distance, multiplied by the square root of the RF channel transmit frequency. This value is then compared to the SAR thresholds for 1-g and 10-g extremity SAR. The power and distance values are rounded to the nearest mW and mm, respectively, before calculation, and the final result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison.

The worst-case scenario is analyzed, and the results demonstrate that the calculated value (0.574) is below the 3.0 threshold for 1-g SAR. Therefore, based on this evaluation, SAR testing is not required for the SA101-US device.
