RF Exposure Evaluation Report for Device Certification

MPE

This document presents the Radio Frequency (RF) exposure evaluation for a device seeking certification. The evaluation adheres to the guidelines outlined in KDB 447498 D01 V06 and part 2.1093 of the relevant regulations. The primary objective is to determine whether the device necessitates Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) testing. According to the established criteria, standalone 1-g head or body and 10-g extremity SAR evaluation are waived if the device meets the SAR Test Exclusion Threshold conditions.

For devices operating between 100 MHz and 6 GHz with test separation distances of 50 mm or less, the 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds are calculated using a specific formula. This formula considers the maximum power of the channel, including tune-up tolerance, the minimum test separation distance, and the RF channel transmit frequency. The power and distance values are rounded to the nearest mW and mm, respectively, before calculation, and the final result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison against the threshold limits.

The report includes calculations based on measured field strength, equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP), and measurement distance to determine compliance. If the calculated thresholds are below the specified limits, a SAR test is deemed unnecessary, indicating that the device meets the RF exposure safety requirements without further testing.
