RF Exposure Evaluation for MQA05N: SAR Test Exclusion

RF Exposure

This document presents the RF exposure evaluation for the MQA05N device, focusing on the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) test exclusion. The evaluation adheres to the guidelines outlined in 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v06. The primary objective is to determine if the device meets the SAR test exclusion thresholds for 1-g and 10-g SAR, considering operating frequencies between 100 MHz and 6 GHz and test separation distances of ≤ 50 mm.

The evaluation employs a formula that considers the maximum power of the channel, including tune-up tolerance, and the minimum test separation distance. The formula is: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)] ·[√f(GHz)] ≤ 3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤ 7.5 for 10-g extremity SAR. The RF channel transmit frequency in GHz (f(GHz)) is also a key factor. Power and distance values are rounded to the nearest mW and mm before calculation, and the final result is rounded to one decimal place for comparison.

The results indicate that the device meets the SAR test exclusion criteria, as the calculated thresholds for both BLE and 2.4G Wi-Fi are below the specified limits. Therefore, a SAR test is not required for this device.
